In life, most important development projects require some prerequisite knowledge and training so that successful results can be achieved. Yet, when it comes to parenting it seems like that is often not the case and the children are left to develop on their own.
From my own experience, had there been something like Goal Surfing to refer to, would have been a huge help. To know the proper place and proportion of everything and how they are interconnected, can save young people a lot of headaches. They need to know what all the activities and running around are for. Without parents explaining the big picture and pointing to a supreme purpose, there is no motivation to persevere. They need help to navigate the landscapes of life, so valuable time and their immense potential are utilized to reach extraordinary heights. A map, a guide, a compass, are all critical for the young to know why things are the way they are and how they can be better. It is this education and development process that can produce the next generation of intelligent, creative and compassionate human beings.
