Mental Hygiene

Seagulls on the beach spend time cleaning their feathers for airworthiness. We too, should clear our minds of residue in order to fly.

If you observe carefully, there is so much non-value-added residual noise in our minds.

There may be frustration about the way things are.

There may be fear and apprehension about what the future shall bring.

There may be anger, hate or sadness about things that happened in the past.

There may be a song playing there and it just won't stop!

There may be a desire for something that is out of reach and hence the sense of being empty or incomplete.

These impressions, impulses, thoughts and feelings weigh down our spirit.

Hence, it is necessary to take the time to meditate, observe the mind and cleanse.
