Motivation can come from:
1) Hardship, pain, suffering and fear
2) Desires, greed, or the need to prove oneself, as a reaction to something or someone
3) An intrinsic drive to excel and present one’s potential, like every child is innately motivated to learn and develop capabilities
Numbers 1&2 have a symbiotic relationship as they feed one another. Fear feeds desire, and desire feeds fear.
Being reactions to something, 1&2 may get the “job” done in some areas of life, but they are limited. They animate the self, and the self will always be limited.
Number 3 allows going on life’s journey powered by providence. To investigate your own nature without any attachment to an outcome. This is your love, your mission and it’s not a matter of choice. The research and development are based on facts. The objective is to see things as they are, to be illuminated and infinite as designed.
